Kinetic Media was founded in 1989 by Russ Lyon. As a Level II Authorized Developer for Macromedia Director, we have specialized in the design and development of interactive multimedia information systems for business, training, education and entertainment.
In 1993, we designed and developed, for Intercare Diagnostics, Inc., the world's only FDA-approved, interactive multimedia biofeedback software. Using random-access, photorealistic 3D animation driven by real-time physiological readings, the Macintosh/Windows compatible program provides accurate feedback for the treatment of stress and attention deficit disorders. Kinetic Media demonstrated this software as a featured speaker at the Macromedia International User Conference in 1993.
Over the years, our clients have included Union Bank (Teller Training Simulation), Southern California Edison (Energy Service Representative Curriculum Placement Tool), Delmar Publishers (Medical Terminology CD-ROM) and Pantheon Multimedia/Jones Entertaiment (Charlton Heston's Family Voyage to the Land of the Bible CD-ROM series).
As an early adopter of QuickTime VR technology (our Virtual Tour of Zion National Park was produced in July, 1995), Kinetic Media has consistently led the way in applying this ground-breaking technology in new and exciting ways.
